Drew was interviewed on behalf of his work on Another Cinderella Story with Selena. He described her as being a “sweet girl” and “an old soul”.  Also, Drew shared that he enjoyed working with her and felt like a “big brother” figure to her. You have a new CD out right now called “The Resolution, tell me why you felt the need to do this right now?
I had the need to do this since I started singing years ago, but I never had the means and I wasn’t really ready. I’ve done a lot of songs on soundtracks but I’ve been writing constantly for the last couple of years and I finally have a group of songs that I felt told a story which is important to me as an actor, I didn’t want to just put together a couple of club bangers and throw it out there in the world like hey! I made an album. I wanted my first album to be a story.

And the story you wanted to tell, was it autobiographical?
It’s semi-autobiographical, I play a character, there’s two girls that I’m involved with at different points of the album and it kinda weaves through the good times and the bad times, you know, the things they do to me that ruin my world and then my mistakes and then trying to find a resolution.

So it’s a story, but it’s not actually a true story? So you weren’t juggling two women at the same time?
No, it’s not a true story and if it was, I would never write a whole album about it.
